This year I complete 2 sprint distance races. One of which I placed 3rd in my age group. Just after three months of training I was able to lost 20 lbs which was my target and motivation. Some of you might even remember my Coming back from weight gain post or maybe not. Just want to take a second here to thank everyone for participating answering my questions.

Anyway, holidays are coming up and I was just wondering what everyone have on their wish list. The below are mine so far but I am sure the list'll grow after everyone replies. :D

Polar S150 or S520 Heart Rate Monitor........Has anyone ever tried to use this in the water?
Syntace C2 Clip-on aero bars 368g.......can anyone suggest other ones to look at?
Thule 962XT trunk bike rack capacity 3

My list is all MTB parts so I can build a sub 20lb hardtail.

SRAM X.9 drivetrain
Avid Single Digit SLs
Cane Creek Aerohead MTB wheelset.
Supergo.com Access Easton Ultralite frame (3.2 lbs in a 20" frame?!?!"

I wish the 'rent could swing for some tri race wheels, but it wouldnt happen.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

Checkout Profile Design T2+, I just ordered a pair to replace my C2s. They're an S-bend set-up, more aero and better leverage=more power.

Yes, they are heavier, but a tri bike isn't all about weight. If the T2's offer better aerodynamics than the C2's, than go with the more aerodynamic aerobar. In the end, the greater aerodynamics will speed you up rather than the extra weight slow you down.

Okay, now something that is more realistic for Santa's budget.

Tri-shorts and singlets.

Spinervals DVD.
New running shoes.

I have been using a cheap Serfas bike helmet that makes my head look like a mushroom from Nintendo's Mario's World. I can't bring myself to replace it because it fits and it's not broken but I would really like to have a sweeter looking helmet like a Giro Pneumo or Atmos.

That's pretty much it - just an aesthetic thing.

These threads have taken a whole new graphical turn in the last couple of weeks. I'm a little afraid of where we are heading

However, I think you want that thong to fit a little bit small, its helps with the definition.

Dear Santa,

I've been really well behaved this year. I've been training 6 days a week all year and even managed to actually take two whole rest weeks in July. I've been cleaning my bike at least once a week and stretching after every workout. I promise to be on my best behaviour all the way up to Christmas and for as much of next year as possible :)

If you happen to have a spare Shimano 105 group set at the North Pole, i'd really appreicate a makeover from my Tiagra one, and some new bike shorts would be really great too as i'm starting to wear through one of my current pairs  I'm going to be swimming in an outdoor pool over the summer so some shaded goggles and suncream would really help with my swim training. Thanks a lot in advance,

Your well behaved friend,

Dear Santa,

10. My own washer & dryer, so I don't have to share the one in the apartment.
9. New bike shorts in any color but black (all they sell around here)
8. a helmet that won't fall down over my eyes when in the aero bars.
7. a good parking space at IMC i.e. closer than the 1st bike course aid station!
6. a publisher's agent for my novel, so I can enjoy the life of an author (and train 24/7)
5. tires that don't flat and weigh less than 5 lbs.
4. or my own personal support vehicle
3. tri-buddies to yak with every day, oh, wait, - got those :D
2. a priority boarding pass for Kona airport on Monday after the race.
1. a lottery spot - it may be the only way I'll get to race Kona before I'm 60.

I think I am pretty good this year, but I could use a few things,

Magic flat free tires.
Pain and numbness free patootie and /or bike seat.
More hours in each day so I can get more than 4-5 hours of sleep.
Chafe free skin

A winning ticket for the big 300 plus million lottery tonight.
(then I will be real nice and buy all my trifriends nice tri gifts) :D

I have been a pretty good man all year long....
So if you have the time to drop by the house this winter in Quito...where I am gonna be during the holidays...so do not bother to stop by my Houston flat....here is what I would like...
1. A new pair of biking shorts...and I rather prefer in black...no other colors...don`t want to feel like a buttler fly... :D
2. A new set fo wheels for my byke...mine are getting old...
3. Have you seen those fancy sunglasses by Oakley...with the music thing....I think they are really cool....to wear on a long ride or run....I wuld love to listen to some good old blues while trainning...
4. A new pair of plastic boots (Koflach) for my dad and me...since we are planning to attemp the Aconcagua Summit early next year...

Not much really...but those will make this young doc very happy
See you in December man

POC I must say you are a well respected member of this forum, obviously since no one has teased you about your white thong in your blog gallary. May I suggest you give it to Chris for christmas. Of course after you wash it in your new washer.

Wasn't there a thread about why all biking shorts should be black, are you sure you want white? :D

I couldn't make a comment right away.

When the picture popped up I got dragged away from my desk at work because they thought I was looking at naughty websites(of men no less!!).
I had to explain that it was a website about triathlon.

Since they know me it made sense and they let me go.

Anyway.

PoC

As disturbing as I find seeing men in thongs in general,
I have to say that you are certainly in shape enough to wear it.

You might be able to start modeling for underwear ads ;)

Beads- that is funny. A friend of mine once sent me a link that unknowingly changed my computer background wall paper to a picture I won't even begin to describe. I closed out of all my applications while my boss was behind me waiting to go into a meeting. That one took some explaining!!

I wasn't actually dragged away,
but I was beaten about the head and shoulders by my co-workers.
(Felt kinda like the swim down at IM Florida)

Actually the picture popped up while I was talking with a co worker.
He asked what site I was looking at and I tolde him it was trifuel.com and it was triathlon related.

He then asked if I stumbled on to part of the site catering to triathletes of 'alternative lifestyles'

I tried to explain the thread, and all i got back was a strange look.

Pretty funny :D

I think the bike shorts should always be black thing is a kind of general rule. As we can see PoC is more than good enough shape to be able to wear whatever colour bike shorts he damn well chooses, including white thongs.
