I have a question for female runners/cyclists who have been pregnant or are pregnant. My background: running for 10 years, 2 marathons, and started cycling and swimming this year. I would like to know, if pregnant, how did you go about your workouts while being pregnant . I would like to keep running and working out. As of now my dr. has ok'd me to continue working out as long as I keep my h.r. at <140.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. :)

I worked out the entire time. By the end you will have to modify. Follow your instincts and your Dr.'s advice.

Hello there...
As a doctor if have seen many women that come to the clinic consulting the same issue...
First and most important..is to follow your doctor´s advise, and keep a close monitoring of your pregnancy...I don´t mean to be scared and in alert all the time, but to be on time for your regular check ups and if something comes up, call right away your doctor...
If the pregnancy goes without any complication there is no trouble at all to keep workingout....in fact there are great rutines in Pilates, and other areas of fitness that are perfectly tailored for pregnant women, they are fun, and actually helps to develope a healthy and happy pregnancy...
Pregnancy should be wonderful, fun, and enjoyable...so keep up the good work and have a wonderful pregnancy...
