Like you I managed to get in, and this will also be my first IM!! I can't believe it closed so fast. All day today I've had this mixture of feelings of extreme excitement and utter terror...you know that feeling of 'Yea! I'm in, now it's really real,' followed promptly by that feeling of 'Holy crap, I'm really in, now it is real. $h!t'
Oh, also noticed you're in MD, I was born in Balto and grew up in Rockville. Haven't been back recently...following the advice of REM.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla.—Registration for the 2006 Ford Ironman Florida being held Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, has officially closed to general entry. The event, which will take place for the eighth time in Panama City Beach, Fla., closed in less than three hours.
Did anyone else manage to get registered....I was fortunate and got a place for 2006, looking forward to it already. Will be my first IM........
