What to eat during race?

But my quick response is:
You need to be determining your nutrition and hydration plans during training to find out what works. You shouldn't be making changes only a couple weeks out from your race.
Pre-race meal same as pre-training meal.
What works in training is what will work for a race.
Don't try new things on race day.

I'm doing my first 1/2 iron in a couple of weeks and I would appreciate some suggestions on what, when and how much to eat before/during the race. Any suggestions???
