LI is really getting hit hard by this miserable storm. i have been held captive in my house for 3 days. there's at least two feet of water on my road and it's literally "raining" in my dining room. not a good picture especially when your house is for sale. i didn't do much training this week and my last race was supposed to be the carl hart duathlon on sunday, oh well...

anyone else got the rainy day blues? :(

Wow! Sorry to hear about your troubles. Hope things improve and insurance takes care of things fast. My blues are on the blog.

Last run was cold & miserable...got to the gym a bunch more, but this is crap; October is supposed to be one of the best month's of the year...there's always next week...hang in there AL; "the sun will come out tomorrow."....

I am in NJ and getting the rain too.

Ain't that bad.

I ran the Greater Hartford Marathon last Saturday, in the rain.
It was like running in a shower for 4:22:10, and a PR too.

The rainy runs suck but I get to use a treadmill and my bike trainer too.

GREAT JOB Beads!!!!!
Well guys and gals, being as I live in the land of rain, all I can say is just get out and try to run any way. I actually prefer to run in a little drizzle (ok, not a downpour mind you), keeps you cooled off and makes the run interesting. I have had my share of 20 milers in a downpour, and while its certainly not "fun" it makes you stronger and come race day, hey you have already experienced the worst of it :)

Very cool Amy, pretty soon you'll have pool in the living room!!?? That's great! You won't have to pay pool fees and be able to swim when ever you want, not to mention that you won't have to spend the $ to build a pool. You're lucky! :D

The big yellow one is the Sun... I think.

Anyway the Ark is almost done, and we still have 30 days of rain to go before we can use it.

Wow... I sometimes look forward to the rainy days 'cause it's a nice change for a run... but I won't mention that on here since I don't want to get beat up.

Best of luck Amy! Although a pool there would be nice ;)

Seriously, I love biking in the rain. Not starting in the rain, cause that is hard. But if it starts pouring in the middle of a ride, I love it.

AL, sorry to hear about your house, must be tough. Hope everything works out.
