Hello All:
I am looking for a good starter setup and found this from nytro.com . Looking for info on if it is worth the buy or if I would be better off buying everything seperate. Look forward to hearing everyones expert advice. Thanks in advance. here is the deal:

$995 american dollars plus shipping.

The Nytro Pro Starter Tri Package includes:
- K2 Mach 1 complete bike w/ pedals
- Free bike fitting
- Free lifetime fitting
- Free Tune-up
- Profile Century aerobars
- Ironman Instinct (long john) Triathlon Wetsuit
- Desoto Tri Jersey
- Desoto Tri shorts
- Nytro Bottle & Cage
- Nytro Race Belt
- Giro Encinal Helmet
- Kaiman Goggles
- Bodyglide

That is the base deal and then for 1299.95 it can be upgraded with the following

This kit includes the best of the DA 10 kit, saving some money through the use of a FSA carbon integrated crankset and Ultegra cassette, chain and calipers. A Cane Creek IS-2 headset, and Profile base bar/aero-bar/bar tape setup is extremely adjustable and ensures reliability, low weight and reasonable cost. The Profile Aerolite aerobar features armrests adjustable in four directions and the length of the bar adjustable by nearly 3", enabling you to easily dial in that perfect upper body position. The TT bar and stem are both sized to fit you. An Xlab Carbon seatpost matched to a Velo Pronto STT saddle is a lightweight pair for those long training rides or Ironman distance races. For a wheelset we picked the Bontrager Select pair, which use cool looking black spokes and are laced radially in the front with a cross pattern in the rear. Tires are the time-tested and proven Continental GP3000's. A moderate tread pattern gives excellent wet and dry performance along with 5-ply construction for flat protection. An excellent kit for those wanting to upgrade to Dura-Ace 10 speed at a reasonable price.

IMHO, if you are thinking of getting the starter kit and the Dura Ace add on pack, I would consider taking the $2300 and buying a good bike. You may only have Ultegra components, but you would have a much better frame and wheels. I don't see the point in putting top of the line components on a low end bike.

If you are just getting the starter pack it seems like a pretty good deal. I'd be wary though of buying a bike that I have never tried before, fit can be a very personal thing.

I don't know if this is your first bike or not, but maybe if I was in your position, and had access to another bike to train on for a while, I might consider waiting for a while until I was able to spend a little more money on the bike. Of course it all depends on what you plan to use it for, but if you are serious about triathlons, and are going to be putting in a lot of mileage, you might find that it wouldn't be long before you wanted an upgrade.

Just my thoughts. Let us know what you decide, you'll have fun on whatever you decide to go with.

I agree with Bryan. There are some great bikes in the $1500 and under range (i.e. Cervelo Dual) that may not come with DA, but with a better frame to upgrade over the years. The fit is very important for the bike (and the wetsuit) so I'd shop around and see what I could find. This is the time of year that you may be able to find a good deal at the local shop.

I agree. I have a Trek TTT bike (Lance's TT frame) with a Bontrager rear disk and a trispoke front wheel - an absolute top of the line TT machine - with Ultegra components. Though DA has a very cool look, Ultegra components work extremely well.
