Any other Trifuelers doing IM Florida???
Just the 2 of us??
Look at this way - You'll place in the top 2 of Trifuel finishers!
RV
It takes a long time to get good. - Scott Molina
Slow is smooth; smooth is fast. - Rich Strauss
I'm considering it... for my IM another season! ;)
G'luck to you guys. You'll have to update with your numbers once you have 'em so we can stalk - I mean follow - you online.

Uh-oh, cyber stalker tri chick,
When I get my info I will post it so you can have a good laugh :D
Hey I go with things I'm good at...
But I think you should post it so that you can gain energy through our cheering and jeers!
Next up for racing: RSS feeds of trifuel forums to cell phone... so as you race you can read what we write about the race! ;)

I can inspire others. I can always be a bad example of how to do an IM.
Yeah... that's true. Like the "positive thinking" part! :p Would you want your girls to see this kind of talk?!?!
Miles of Life --- Powered by MarkyV
If I do good I can be a good example,
If I don't do so good I can still be a good example how NOT to do an IM.
I want to finish, I just don't want to finish last.
Other than that I want to enjoy the experience that is the culmination of over 2 1/2 years of training.
It began one day trying to run for 20 minutes just to relieve some stress.
I think that you are stuck as a good example in just doing it, and in those 2.5 years of training. Even the last finisher showed more heart/strength/guts/determination than the first DNF'er.
Just think, instead of running for those 20 min, you could have turned to many other less stressful methods of stress relief (drugs and heavy drinking come to mind)
Miles of Life --- Powered by MarkyV
You can releive stress thru drigs and heavy drinking?
My doctor recommended running and being active.
Now I am addicted to a healthy lifestyle.
Look where good advice gets you ;)
Well at least temporarily relieve it... or think you have... so I've heard.
Healthy is a good thing to be addicted to. Except when work gets in the way ;-)
Miles of Life --- Powered by MarkyV
I am definitely not addicted to work.
In fact I am leaving now to go hang with my munchkins and pack for tomorrow.
They are very excited and want me to bring them a souvenier.
Unfortuantely, a pair of authentic marathon runners socks doesn't work for them.
Authentic sweat in them too!
I am doing IM FL. It is my first IM. I will be down there the Monday before the race to get aclamated. It's also a little bit of a real vacation for me.
Just think. Even if you finish last, you have finished ahead of millions of other people that didn't have the guts to even sign up for an IM.
[COLOR=Red]We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing. :p
Any of you want to get together? I am staying about three miles north of the start on the beach.
I'll be down there as well. Staying at Lollye on the Beach myself...about a mile from the starting area and on the run course.

I haven't got my room yet but I was thinking about a Scottish inn.
It is about 5 miles away across the bridge.
It was about $45 a night. How were the rates you guys got?
I will be there on Thursday. I am driving down from NJ Wednesday.
I am up for meeting up.
If I'm remembering correctly, $40 a night for a 1/1.

Riverbrady- Do you have more info on the place you are staying? a link or phone number?
$40 and a mile away is better than $45 and 5 miles away.
Should have thought to include it the first time.

Thanks for the info dude!!
I hope it isn't to much of a dive but for $40 it can't be too bad.
From what I've heard, it's actually a pretty decent place. $40 is out of season rates. Usually rooms run $70-$80 minimum.
When I was talking to the guy who runs it, he said the only people he has during that week are triathlon folk, and the place comes recommended by a number of people over at Gordo World.
"Care more than others think is wise, risk more than others think is safe, dream more than others think is practical, expect more than others think is possible."
They only have a couple of $50 rooms left. They are doubles.
I had them hold it for me.
Nifty. It'll be good to meet you down there :)

Should be cool.
A hotel full of Triathletes,
On Friday we'll get all crazy on gatorade and pasta and party until 7:30 pm. :D

I am actually planning to have a disposable camera with me the whole time.
Waterproof one for the swim of course.
One in my Bento Box or I might velcro it right to my bike frame.
One in my fuel belt for the run.
I will be quite the tourista :D

Please spare us pics of murky water. :p
A week and a half away! Woo hoo! Got the numbers. Will be sure to watch via IM live.
Good luck guys!

RV

Tapering is going well. I have been doing some easier workouts and less time on them.
Eating good, taking my vitamins and trying to get some extra rest when I can.
I am getting my packing list together and making sure I have everything I need.
We'll see if everything works in a week and a half. :D
hey - im i town now. i have nothing to do tomorrow other than a test swim and run. does anyone else want to hang out? this is my first im.

We should give him a wake up call the day of the race. Each one of us should call, one after the other, to make sure he doesn't sleep in! :D
