I am buying...HELP!
I have dealers of both brands in town so a custom fit can be done no matter which ride I choose. PLEASE HELP!!!
Aye, ya may have the custome fitters, but that doesn't mean that the bike will fit ya! You've gotta ride both in your size. You will in all likelihood like one more than the other. And THAT is worth its weight in gold.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
I just did a little comparing of my own under the 2 choices that you are debating between. Both seem very cool. One big difference I see is price. For the same price as the Orbea with Ultegra, you could bet the Cervelo P3 Carbon which is full carbon and dura ace. You don't get the sweet zipp 999 wheelset, but you don't get that with the Orbea either. I guess what my question is why you would be willing to spend the cash for the Orbea but "settle" for a Cervelo that is half the price?
For the amount of mileage you will be putting in during your training and the race of course I would go for carbon, keeping in mind that fit is still the most important.

I'm waiting on delivery of the Ordu. Curious what you decided to do and what your experience has been (particularly if you bought the Orbea).
I got the Cervelo P2 SL last year.
(which is the P2K with a black anodized finish instead of a regular paint job)
I have been very happy with it. I got a great fit.
I didn't have a chance to ever try an Orbea.
Try as many bikes as you can and go with what feels best for you. :D
Nothing to it, but to do it

There's no question that the Ordu's got the bling.

At about twice the price, it ought to.
Hey, bling ain't free!

I am about a week away from making ny first tri-bike purchase. I have been an above average age grouper in the Olympic distance races and am about to jumo into Ironman distance. I have narrowed my choices down to 2.
Cervelo P2k:
Aluminum Frame
Solid History
Good consumer reviews
good Pricing (thus could afford group / component / and wheel upgrades)
Orbea Ordu
Carbon
Good Industry "Buzz"
Looks totally cool
