HEY We have some AWESOME MicroBrews out here...better than the "swill" they try to give you when you order a beer out there. You ask " what do you have?" and the answer is always:
"uh Samuel Adams, Bud, Miller"
--dont take it personally, you don't have any control over beer distribution :)
i've never even had a beer !

mmmmmmmmmmm beeeeeerrrrrr. I can't wait till Nov.! Then I can drink! wooo!
Try the swill here. There's like two places that serve "microbrews" and one of em is just a custom bre from Bud. And it sucks! I miss Boulder...
Oh, yeah, and good job, Chris!
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

It never ceases to amaze me. I am out there at least onece a year and I can honestly say Florida may be the worse place for ordering beer. We are spoiled out here. I live just a couple of miles from the Redhook brewry, and we have also Pyramid and others ...of course one of my favorites IS Fat Tire and thats from Colorado :)
I'm NOT supposed to have beer in peak training season? No one told me this when I started.
I might have to reconsider; maybe go back to playing hockey where it's mandatory.
oh, and fantastic result Christri/

When you are training It is not "having beer" or "drinking beer",
it is "liquid carbohydrate supplementation" :D
Nothing to it, but to do it
Hey Beads, they should allow beer for carb suppl. for IMs eh? At least it would ease the pain of the last 6mi!!!

In that case, I'm back in.
Garth
I saw something on TV(so it must be true!!) about a couple of these ultra marathoners who were having "liquid carbohydrate supplementation" on the course.
They said it had carbs and the alcohol did help with pain management.
In all 5 marathons I have done there is usually a beer table set up(UNOFFICIALLY of course)
Usually a local Hash House Harriers group does it.. Right around miles 19 - 21.
It got me thru the last 6 miles of the Philly marathon..
Sweet ,Sweet ,Beer....

What about the "Special Needs" bag??
Plastic bottles of beer that I "'Specially" need??? :D
Nothing to it, but to do it
At the Milw. Lake Front Marathon - they had an Official beer tent at the finish.
Well - I did say it was Milwaukee...
There was just no way that I could put a beer down after the marathon.
But a couple hours later - it was time to reward myself - that Big Mac AND the Quarter Pounder with Cheese went down real nice. Burp.... Back to good eating the follwoing day tho.
