Okay, I've used the Polar S720 and its awesome software for a year. I was using the power meter for Polar as well but it was very inconsistent and inaccurate on my TT bike. So, I got a Powertap Pro. Now I want to find some software that will allow me to utilize running data from my Polar, and cycling data from my Powertap, in a meaningful way.

I was contemplating CyclingPeaks, which looks pretty good. I have heard of TrainingPeaks, but not sure what you get with it, etc.

I'm familiar with the Friel method of Periodization and plan to organize my training roughly with that. I will be utilizing both running and cycling (I do both, and will probably do Duathlons next yr) with an emphasis on the cycling portion.

I'm not really a Triathlete per se (I don't do the swim all that well - dead-man floating or at best dogpaddling would leave me at quite a deficit by the time I'm out of the water!) but I figured if anyone has figured out a way to meaningfully use data from both a Power meter for cycling as well as Polar data for running, it would be a Triathlete.

Anyone with experience with this? I'd like to minimize the time spent on the computer, but use it to the best of my advantage.

Thanks for any and all help, please feel free to email me directly as well at ljklassen(at)mts(dot)net (replace words in parentheses with symbols, of course).

Training Peaks is a fabulous resource, and the site has a free trial period. Training peaks was formed by a merger of Cycling Peaks and Joe Friel's TrainingBible.com and offers extraordinary online software.
