Hey everyone I havnt been on here much recently because school, work and everything else has been so crazy. For the past couple months I have done nothing but cycle 7 days a week and I have gotten so much stronger it feels great but I havnt swam or ran and it looks like my schedule is going to be pretty screwed up for the next year so I might have to put triathlon aside but I figure as long as I keep cycling I should stay in good shape. 7 more months and I am done with school! Sorry guys I just needed to vent and let it out I was really looking forward to doing the Vineman next year but I guess ill have to put it off for another year, maybe my cycling will be really strong by then.

Thanks for listening and I hope everyones training is good

No worries, everyone needs to vent now and then. Just keep doing what you can.

Good luck.

Don't comletely give in or give up. I trained only on the bike and run for a year (because there was no where for me to swim overseas), came back to the states and started to work on my swim for about two months prior to my first race ever and did just fine. Yeah you might not be doing the longer distances or maybe you still can but you don't have to give it up completely.

I'm glad you wrote this. I feel the same way, and am going to join you on your vent. I just started a new job that keeps me in the office minimum of 60 hrs/week. It's really frustrating for me that I can't commute to work. I guess I could, but on my commute, the roads are just too narrow and biker unfriendly. I really wanted to do Wildflower this year, but with location and schedule, it's really doubtful for me. =( In any case, I squeeze in the runs and bike rides when I can. Hopefully when my schedule stablizes, I'll get a good routine in. I think my bike is angry at me for not taking him out as much as I used to.
