aero bars

For clip-on aero bars where exactly do they clip on. And what kind of clip-on's would you reccomend. Thanks.

First, they clip onto the drop bars or the tri 'horn' style bars.

Go to:

for affordable kinds. There are much more expensive ones out there.

A few things, remember that when setting them for width the elbow width should be as wide as your hips. Second they should feel comfy under the elbows. Priorities not necessarily in that order :)

On the Profile Design web page the century are a base kind. I have these on my commuter bike. Like 'em cause they have cushy pads. Not wide enough for my shoulders though.

My race bike has the aerolites. I love these on my horns of the tri bike. They are somewhat pricey in my book (189$ Can.) but worth it.

vanjames was always upset that his (the ones with springs, 'split second' brand) kept popping up. I have heard others say the same thing and replacement springs for those is hard to get I hear. Advice, stay away.

I'm sure others will fill you in on more.

Aero bars for a roadie? Profile GT Jammer or the others similar to it. Dont get a full flown aero bar for your roadie. If you do, get it in the smallest size available so you can maintain proper angles.

thanks for the info.
