I was on a tune-up ride today for my last tri of the season tomorrow. When the rear tube blows.
Arg!! Was fairly close to home, so I called my wife to pick me up. Didn't want to use my CO2 - Anyway - decided it was time to replace the tire as well. I ride on Michelin Pro2 Race tires. They are incredibly stiff when new and out of the package. Then remembered a tip I heard somewhere - might have even been on this site - and that is to put the tire in the dryer for 3 - 5 minutes. Worked great - the tire was very pliable and made for a quick and easy change. Just thought I'd pass it along.

Yeah, but they will still be tough to refit on the road on race day, so be prepared to wrestle a little bit to force it back on the rim. Sore thumbs.

Another reason not to use brand new stuff on race day.

Good luck, may you have a flat-free race1
