Does anyone know where I can get a clip or holder so I can put a gel flask/bottle on the cross bar of my bike? Can I get one in the UK?

Cheers

I think fuel belt or GU sells one. I got one at my LBS this summer. It ties around your cross bar or wherever you prefer. I think it was $14(?). I was able to fit 4 gels in it. But they advise that you mix water with it, so I only put in three and filled the rest with water. You might want to try their websites as well as some tri specific websites.

No info on the UK side. Good luck!

Those launch pretty good on rough patches.
Probably better off putting the flask in a pocket on the shirtback, or even on the shorts.

I just bought one but I didn't try it yet...Is it a design problem?? I bought the huge GU's to fill it...

The main design flaw in the gel flasks is that is it is pretty impossible to get that last shot of gel out the bottle while racing.......takes some serious effort and energy :D

I don't have one, so not sure if there is a design flaw or not, but have had to avoid the flasks. Guess just make sure they are secure. Don't want to lose your calories. I just put them in the pockets, and use a bento box if I want to carry lots of food.
I do have the behind the seat dual water bottle holder and those fly too - and no real design flaw there either, they just vibrate out I guess - so usually only use that for the long training rides.

I found this out yesterday. I coulda sworn I got it all out. I get home, and there's almost a whole shot left! And i had it in my pocket with the spout facin down.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

I never did like the flasks; I just keep some gel pouches in my jersey pocket or shorts.
I see a lot of people using them though.
Just don’t mix up your Power Gel flask with your Slime tire-sealant flask.
…Although… they taste about the same and I bet you could seal a flat with one of those orange GU gels.
Hmmm..maybe a new product idea, combination Power Gel and Tire sealant.

I actually dont fill them all the way and add water-- shake them up and then it comes out better...that way you get it all out. You just have to make sure you totally close the little lid thingy so gu doesnt drizzle out all over between uses . I use the flasks in a long race to eliminate the need to open the gu packets on the bike (am really bad with multitasking) and then you have wrappers, which is a pain in a long race too (you have to remember to dump them). Personally I either put the flask in my bento box or in my pocket.
