Hey Yall,

Since I may be moving to the Colorado area in the near future, I'm thinking of replacing my Dura Ace Crankset Double 53x39, with a triple crankset.

Since I use the 180mm cranks, should I go through the expense of getting a Dura Ace Triple, or should I go with a compact crank, say FSA? I've been researching the change of crank lengths, but I think I could go to a 175mm without too many problems.

Ciao,

Why not save a little and replace your cassette with a 25-13?

I actually have 3 cassettes, a 11-21 for racing the flat stuff, an 11-23 for intermediate stuff, and a 12-25 that came with the bike.

I really suffered riding the 11-23 in the Rockies. I could have really used a 25 or even a 27 tooth rear end. I've seen several 12-27's on eBay, and I may break down and buy one of them first.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
