That sounds like a plan.
I am doing the 1/2 on Sunday and driving back to NJ.
Then maybe going for a MT Bike ride on Monday.
I dropped my tri-bike in the shop yesterday and I can't pick it up until Tuesday.
I did a century last Saturday in Delaware and went over the bars at about mile 5.
I had to straighten my handlebars out but made it thru the rest of the ride.
You had to see the dismount, it was amazing.
I even got a 9.5 from the Russian judge. :D
Nothing to it, but to do it
Got my final race of the year on Sunday.
Summerland spint tri.
Other than that I may consume several beer. :D

Sounds like your ok though. Hope it didn't cost too much. Sucks when you hurt the baby. I would rather hurt myself, that way it's cheaper for repair :D

My shoulder is still hurting.
The stretch of road I was on went through a field.
I was close to the edge of the road and looked back.
Next thing I knew, I must have ran off the road
I flew over the top(I don't know how I got out of the pedals)
I hit the ground and I rolled on my right shoulder, and right up to my feet.
I don't know how I managed that, but it was quite the amazing dismount!!!
The bike went over and the front wheel was 90 degrees away from the direction my aerobars.
I had my topeak tool and was able to straighten it out.. I went the remaining 96.1 miles and it seemed ok. Some of the end gears sounded funky and the middle gears only sounded a little funky.
I rode on the trainer Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and it just didn't seem right.
I dropped it off at the bike shop yesterday for a once over. I will get it next Tuesday.

Hey Beads, good luck and have a blast at the race! Sounds like a good time! Same to you too, peby! Go out with a bang!
Beads, I hear ya on the landings. Trust me, I earned my signature... Mostly on the mtn bike, I learned quickly to drop and roll after discovering that landing on your face isn't generally the best way to get a makeover.....
Anyway, mostly swim and run for me this weekend (and for a while), nursing a strained calf. Did I mention that I earned my signature? :D
Happy long weekend!

Rolling Stones tonight, then the nice 12hr drive back to university.
No training for me for a few days, moving is stressful.

The Rock n' Roll 1/2 was pretty good. Nice course, great weather and some great schwag.
Unfortunately I made the mistake of eating my pasta the night before at Crapplebee's
Other than that I highly recommend it.
One of the highlights was an Impromptu Beer Station set up by the local Hash House Harriers,
Just before mile 6. It certainly hit the spot.
The bands were pretty good too!! 15 of them over the course.
