Just wanted to wish all those Ironman Canada participants good luck.

Does anyone know if there is any tv coverage of it? If not, I'll just check out ironman live.

IMC 2007 is going to be my first Ironman, looking forward to it.

It might air locally, but Canadian TV is different so it may not be accesible in the US.

Check the IM Canada site for more info. http://www.ironman.ca/

Yes, add brittda and vanjames to the list.

BBB says swim friday 8am meet at the Peach on the Beach. We'll probably be the only swimmers there. (yeah, right!)

then a little spin on the run course,

then we'll go for a Starbucks.

I'm the one at the very back in the borrowed wetsuit, standing on the sand, adjusting my goggles.

No, really..

Hey! GOOD NEWS!
My very own, brand new wetsuit, arrived today from MEC!
I have tried it on. In fact, I'm wearing it as I type this, and it fits perfectly!
One less thing to worry about.

Yep, just watch Natasha B crush the bike course in Kona every single year. Regardless of how bad the winds are she always has a HUGE smile. Interesting use of the "game face." Two or three years ago, NBC sports had that ridiculous shot of her COMPLETELY emptying her stomach on the run - BIG TIME projectile right on the side walk. 5 mins later she's trottin' along with a that big ole smile. :D

I totally agree on the smile thing... I had one all through IMAZ and many people asked how I was still smiling... it started cause I wanted to, but soon I couldn't stop. Helped tons!

I am smiling thinking PoC may actually wear the wetsuit all week,
definitely, definitely,

Once you get that smile on your face it is almost impossible to force it away.

It's good for you. feel the boost when you do it :D

Thanks, Shell, Skippy, and all you others.

I spoke with BBB last night and he's gone to Penticton, is there now, (as I watch Lance on Larry King)
I'm driving down tomorrow a.m. because I live at the other end of the Okanagan Lake, about 130kms away.

I dropped into my bike shop today on my race bike for a last minute adjustment and they wished my luck, then I rode away without my gloves, glasses and helmet. I figured it out after half a block.

Yeah, I got it all together.

"You are an Ironman......!!!"

Everyone of you guys deserve a huge congrats already just for taking on such a awesome challenge, and when you hear that phrase over the loudspeaker, I hope you freeze the moment. Hell, I'm hoping that I'll be ready to race my first in IMC 2007, but I'm already fantasizing about a finishers medal in anything under 16:59:59.

Good luck everyone, I'm rooting for ya from the east coast!!!

I went and watched last year and just looking at PoC's pics I want to be there soooooo bad to cheer them on! It's soooo inspiring!

You all racing this weekend bring tears of joy to my eyes at the accomplishment you have acheived up to now and the accomplishment you will have acheived on Sunday as you cross the finish line to a roaring crowd and hear those fabulous four words, "You are an IRONMAN!!!!!"

Go get 'em y'all! Smiles all the way! You've trained as hard as Natasha, time to race like her too! Good luck! Enjoy the ride! Can't wait to hear the race recaps.

:) :D

May the Ironman gods calm the waters, place the wind at your back, keep your tummies settled and your spirits soaring!
