Good Luck IMC'ers
Yeah, Good luck all. After only doing sprint events, you people amaze me.
Woooo! Good luck!!
As for TV coverage, it is done at a later date...
For IMWI locally: http://www.trifuel.com/news/event/2005-ford-ironman-wisconsin-to-air-regionally-on-fox-sports-net-north-001008.php
For other IMs (OLN): http://vnews.ironmanlive.com/vnews/1120158784
Huh... sorry... doesn't look like Canada is on the other list... looks like they are just US ones...
yeah!, smile, smile for the pics, relax and enjoy the ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It might air locally, but Canadian TV is different so it may not be accesible in the US.
Check the IM Canada site for more info. http://www.ironman.ca/

Yes, add brittda and vanjames to the list.
BBB says swim friday 8am meet at the Peach on the Beach. We'll probably be the only swimmers there. (yeah, right!)
then a little spin on the run course,
then we'll go for a Starbucks.

ahahhaahhaah you crack me up!!!!
No matter how hard things are, if you smile they will be easier.
Even if you have to force it, it is infectious.
Try it,
It always works for me. :D
Nothing to it, but to do it
POC - Wow, that's a lot of people. Which one are you?
Beads - You reminded me of an expression that I heard once..."Fake it til you make it". Good advice.

I'm the one at the very back in the borrowed wetsuit, standing on the sand, adjusting my goggles.
No, really..
Hey! GOOD NEWS!
My very own, brand new wetsuit, arrived today from MEC!
I have tried it on. In fact, I'm wearing it as I type this, and it fits perfectly!
One less thing to worry about.
*ticks off - wetsuit*
PoC
*note to self*
tomorrow - must buy bodyglide.

Yep, just watch Natasha B crush the bike course in Kona every single year. Regardless of how bad the winds are she always has a HUGE smile. Interesting use of the "game face." Two or three years ago, NBC sports had that ridiculous shot of her COMPLETELY emptying her stomach on the run - BIG TIME projectile right on the side walk. 5 mins later she's trottin' along with a that big ole smile. :D
- Jeff
I totally agree on the smile thing... I had one all through IMAZ and many people asked how I was still smiling... it started cause I wanted to, but soon I couldn't stop. Helped tons!
I am smiling thinking PoC may actually wear the wetsuit all week,
definitely, definitely,
Once you get that smile on your face it is almost impossible to force it away.
It's good for you. feel the boost when you do it :D
Nothing to it, but to do it
I also want to wish all of you doing IMC good luck.
That picture is incredible! You can just feel the nervous energy looking at it.
Can't wait to hear the race reports!
"Swim smart, ride strong, run tough" - Gordo Byrn
Yeah, he might be wearing the wetsuit all week long and the first time it gets wet is the swim in the race!!!!!!!! ;)
Have fun there! Just enjoy!
Thanks all for the luck. I have been away but back this eve, to be gone tomorrow. See ya all after the race (and maybe on TV)!!

I spoke with BBB last night and he's gone to Penticton, is there now, (as I watch Lance on Larry King)
I'm driving down tomorrow a.m. because I live at the other end of the Okanagan Lake, about 130kms away.
I dropped into my bike shop today on my race bike for a last minute adjustment and they wished my luck, then I rode away without my gloves, glasses and helmet. I figured it out after half a block.
Yeah, I got it all together.

You all racing this weekend bring tears of joy to my eyes at the accomplishment you have acheived up to now and the accomplishment you will have acheived on Sunday as you cross the finish line to a roaring crowd and hear those fabulous four words, "You are an IRONMAN!!!!!"
Go get 'em y'all! Smiles all the way! You've trained as hard as Natasha, time to race like her too! Good luck! Enjoy the ride! Can't wait to hear the race recaps.
:) :D
