ate like a pig after IM Vineman. So today I pulled the old bike and went for a 1 hour recovery ride. Ahh feels good to be back in the saddle.

Nice guys, way to get back on the bike pancho! Keep it going.

I headed out for a long ride and broke my chain about 5 miles out. Luckily my brother wasn't riding this morning so he came and picked me up. Thank God I wasn't 30 miles out where there are hardly any cars and no cell signal :).

Went for a 90 minute run instead. Will try to ride tomorrow, heading to the bike shop to get a new chain and hopefully ride tomorrow.

Biked 112miles avg 19.5 mph
6 mile t-run after the bike 45 mins 7min mile pace
First half of the ride was out by our ski resort big hills and second half was though rolling farm land!
Foggy all morrining with some lite drizzy to keep you cool.
As soon as I started the run the sun came out and the temp went through the roof!
Sweated like a pig during the run.

Easy 45 min ride - spinning, and a short 15 min easy run - have a race tomorrow.

James, I know how you feel.

I went for a 4 hour ride, 103kms @ 27.33kph - no hills (almost).

Now I have an appetite.
And I will sleep well tonight.

I fell into the lake at the end of the ride and the water felt soooo goood!
I think the water temp has dropped a few degrees in the last week - we've had cool nights since last w/e when we had a storm that broke the heat wave, so Lake Okanagan will be wet suit temp for the swim next Sunday.

ran for 4 hours and 20 minutes. slow long jog, and hey, the last time I ran that distance it was big sur and all my toe-nails were blisters. recovering right now. next time i do that distance (less actually) it will be CaliforniaMan.

tribro: i've broken 3 chains in the last three weeks. twice on my racer, and once on my commuter. all three times I just 'happened to have' the chain tool, and I NEVER carry it. Guess I'll be carrying it with me everywhere now. :)

I ran a road race (5k). Proud moment in the family. My son finished his first race. ha ha. He actually only did the last part of it but he got his little blue ribbon and is all proud of his big bad 3 year old self. Is asking when he can do another.
