Thanks for the heads up Running Bear. Didn't get a chance to welcome you to site, glad you joined us. Do you train with the club in The Woodlands? My dad actually lives there and got into tris a few years back. Not sure how much he trains with the club but I know he's a member and does a bunch of the races in your area. I was out a few years back to do the Cinco Tri. Lots of fun!

I recently moved and I am anxious to get involved with the group. I know that they do a lot of social rides/runs and have a good relationship with the local Masters swim program. I'm excited for the opportunity to train with others locally....the solo thing is nice but getting a little boring! :)

Cool. Definitely hook up with them. i think it's a pretty diverse group so you should be able to find some people at a similar level to train with. The Masters is cool. I've swam at the pool there and it's a nice facility. I think there are a couple hard core Ironman athletes there as well, so a good local knowledge base. Good luck and have fun!
