Did a Sprint today (.33 Swim, 22.5 Bike and 3.1 Run). It was a C race for me, but easy to get caught up in the excitement of the race and I was debuting my trifuel singlet for the first time in a race.
So I hammered the race harder than was planned. Started with a crappy swim - water was terribly full of sediment - and murky, stinky etc. The weeds were like swimming through a net. But got through with a resonable time. Okay transition and then went hard on the bike. This was a pretty hilly course. Only problem was at the end of the bike - pretty steep downhill then it turned and then immediately at the dismount line. I got there too fast had one foot in a shoe and the other out. Skidded pretty hard to stop. Else would have been in the spectators. Had a quick transition and off on the run. Was able to keep a steady effort on the run and was elated to have a third place finish in my age group! Beat last years time by over 17 minutes! The only difference besides training like crazy was the trifuel singlet. So I am one-for-one with my trifuel gear!

:D Nice! Ya, it's the Jersey! Congrats on the results, 17 minutes is a huge improvement. Keep up the good training, it's clearly working.

Do the singlets work layered? Like if I put 2 on will it give me a 34 minutes improvement. Those singlets are FAST. Can't wait to get mine!!
Either way, all I need to win my next race is about 6 minutes on the fastest guy....well unless he improved dramatically over one season. GULP! 17 minutes should be plenty.

So, in THEORY then. RV, IF he would have worn enough of the Trifuel apperal could have just started the race AND won the race cause the tri gear makes you so fast! :D

Can't wait to get mine!

And let's take this theory one step further. Theoretically, if he was wearing enough trifuel gear, he could have saved himself some gas money and won the race before he ever left the house. Hmmm, I wonder what his paces would have been with a negative time.

Hey I don't think ALL the credit goes to the trifuel gear - How about we say that it acts as an amplifier of our directed effort and intensity.

Yes, I took it as an amplifier, these guys go way out in left field and say you don't need to put out effort. I wonder how much faster I can get by wearing the TF visor...hmmmm...jersey + visor= 17+? minutes?? I will test it out in two weeks and get back to ya'll.

Hey RV, which Sprint was it? I live in Oconomowoc and will be putting this race on my DNE (do not enter) list. I hate swimming in yucky water :(
Cograts on seeing the results of all the hard work, and wearing a superpowered singlet doesn't hurt either :D

It was the Camp Whitcomb/Mason Sprint.
Aside from the water it is a nice race.
Hopefully, they weren't taknig race photos as we emerged from the murky depths!
