I actually just got an '06 Trek 2200 just the other day. They just came out, although I'm not sure exactly which stores would have them all.
Specialized has also recently posted their 2006 bikes on their website
I dont think they are in the stores just yet
but most companies put their 2006 models out around now - or in the near future
meaning a lot of stores, even if they dont have the new models yet will be trying to make room by putting the 2005s on sale
I got a 2004 specialized allez last year around mid sept. & it was marked down to $1100 when it was normally sold for $1400
it is a guessing game, because the stores will not get any new 2005s in at this point - so they may sell out of the size frame or exact bike you are looking for; but the longer you wait, the cheaper they will get
