Okay it isn't literally my birthday, it seemed better than my birthday to be honest.
Buckeye Lake was my first Sprint Tri and ended up 2nd for my age group with the time of 1:31.39. I told the guy, "no way, you serious?" He replied, "Yea, take a look." By george he was right. I seriously surprised myself. I sucke dhorribly in the swimming till a bit later in the swim. I never swam to compete in my life and for having that be my first I didn't do to bad toward the end. I kept telling myself I was going to quit and just relaxed and made good effort and passed people. My T1 and T2 was alright, I need more practice and I have other ideas on how to do those. My bike wasn't bad, I was flying. The rolling hill were a challange b/c in Cleveland, well were I live we have none to really work with. My run, awesome. I kept up with this speedy 55 yr old guy and we said thanks to one another when we parted. It was a good day. I didn't want to be all like, "Oh look at ME, i got second" only b/c this is only the first of many. I have noe the 28th and I need to be prepared that there could be better people there then what was there. (I'm so not saying there wasn't any good people there to begin with) but ya'll know what I mean. I am proud of myself and I hope to do better in my next race. Thanks for all who came out to cheer and be there at the end, oh and especially to a cool "mom" who brought my peanut butter cookies for the end! :) Also, thanks ya'll for ideas and preperation for me....I know there will be more questions I'll be spitting out soon enough. (lol)
