I had another race Sunday... It went really well but I'm constantly surprised by the differences in organization between different groups. This race was smaller but more chaotic than I'm used to. People were unsure where of how to exit the transition area for the run. There were some sharp turns on the bike that volunteers didn't warn you about until you were already at the turn (or almost past it). It was also a pool swim with one person going in every 20 seconds so some people were done with the race before everyone had entered the water, which made any prerace warmup or eating pointless. And there was almost no food at the finish.

But beyond that... It was a GREAT race. The bike was beautiful. Everyone was super nice. There were a whole lot of beginners, which is always exciting when they cross their first finish line. As for my personal results, I was #1 in age group; 7th female; 31st overall. It felt great.

Anyone else have weekend races to write about?
