Aerodrink (and Dura-Ace)

I've recently had to change my bike setup because of racing ITU. Now I have dropouts with Vision TT mini clip-ons (they're the only draft-legal aerobars I could find). They're bridged at the ends, because that's what the rules required.

My question is, obviously I can't use a regular aerodrink system with this kind of setup. Anyone have a suggestion as to what I could use? Thanks.

(Also, just a note - a while ago, I upgraded my drivetrain to full Dura-Ace. Is it just me, or is that stuff twice as heavy as the 105s I used to have? My bike has just about doubled in weight!)

I do believe the pros use regular water bottles. A bottle on the down tube is easily accesible, with a rack on the rear for the other two, if ya need more (like I do.) Just swap the downtube bottle for a full one off the rack when its empty. Not sure I would want one of the funky new things unless I saw a lot of people using em at the races. Sometimes simplicity is the best course of action.

By the way, ya do mean ITU elite class and not just Oly distance, right?

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

Rear rack - good idea, thanks. And yes, sorry, I meant elite classes - that's why I had to change the whole setup.

use what you like. it makes very little difference on time unless you're worried about making up seconds over a race. see this article
