because I wrecked my car last night! Oh Geez! No one was hurt, but some drunk guy ran a stop sign and I plowed into him. Caused him to flip around and stop, which is a good thing, as he didn't really hurt anyone. He could have easily killed many people, cuz he ran right into a parking lot of people and cars. I had my 15 year old daughter and her friend... I'm so glad we weren't 10 seconds ahead, or he would have blindsided us, and the girls would have been seriously hurt or worse!

The Lord was definitely looking out for us! The guy got arrested, and all the people in his car fled the scene.... weird... but I think they were all drinking and not old enough to. The cops picked up two of them, don't know what happened to them though. I'm waiting to see what insurance is going to do with my car... if they total it out, then I'll have $$ left over from the repairs to get a bike!!! Hee Hee!!

I'm kind of frustrated with giving up my bike and swim day, but I'm hurting, so thought it would be best to lay low... may go for a lite run tomorrow morning.... So anyway, drive safe out there you guys!!!

Accidents suck for sure. Glad everyone turned out ok. A little stiffness and soreness is a lot better than the alternative. Just get out there tomorrow and work it out.
I was once in an accident where my buddy wasnt paying attention and couldnt stop quick enough on wet roads, ended up slamming into the rear of another car at 40 mph. Good thing the engines drop out on these newer cars, cause it would have been in our laps, seriously, the grill was 6 inches away from the firewall. We hurting for a few days, but we still made XC practice.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

accidents are the worst thing that can happen no doubt. glad to hear you are ok.
on a less extreme note, i too had to cancel a sweet brick session with my buddy due to a killer exam tomorrow. summer school is putting a dent on training....curse you anatomy and physiology!!! its ok, its for the better good.
stay safe out there

hey shell,
i'm glad you are all right. count your blessings. i just returned from a wake tonight , my dear friend's brother was just killed in a treacherous motorcycle accident and i'm feeling really sad. i curse all those idiotic drunk drivers on the road.

all of us in LI are also distraught over another poor family who was driving home from a wedding at 2:00 am in a limo. a drunk driver came barrelling down the highway the wrong direction and killed the flower girl and the limo driver. so tragic, it makes me sick to my stomach.

i'm just glad you are ok. life is so fragile...

Wow, that is really scary, I'm glad you are all fine. Make sure the police have all of your information (I assume they already do...) so they can have you as a witness, these cases can be hard to prosecute, and any witness helps.

Thanks you guys for all your kind words!

Amy,
I am so sad for you and your friend and your community! My Brother in Law was killed 16 years ago by a drunk driver! It is such a terrible problem here! My heart goes out to you.... I understand your sadness tonight...

Everyone, take care and be safe, especially out on your bikes!!

It must have been pretty traumatic. Glad to see that you all are ok. Rest it up and get back in the saddle!

I'm glad you were all okay. I don't get how people still drive drunk out there. Hope you feel better soon. :)

*hug* Glad you are ok! I got in a wreck a while back (about 1.5 years ago) and cracked my sternum. Had to stop surfing for a while, and wasn't in tris yet, but I know doing what I could at an easy and slow pace at martial arts helped me feel better.
