Saddle/Seat Covers?
I have an Elite saddle cover, the inside has a rubberized coating that keeps it from moving around. It stays put and fits nicely. I've had no problem w/ chafing. However, since I have put it on, it wears hard on the seams of my tri-shorts. If you leave it on all the time, I recommend wearing cycling shorts with the seam on the inside. Usually, tri-shorts have external stiching to avoid chafing when running. The with cycling specific short I have had no problem. I only use the seat cover for longer rides, gear is costly in effort to save wear on my apparel I limit the use.

I have a Qunita Roo Seat Cover, and I love it. It lets me use a lighter tri short without much padding. I'd rather have the pad on the seat than in my shorts while I'm running.
I also pull the Seat Cover off after each ride to air it out. It's also a good idea to wash it every now and then. Otherwise, it can get pretty funky.

While I absolutely LOVE my San Marco Tri saddle (you MUST try this thing sometime) I am glad it came OE on my bike, cause I couldnt afford it otherwise. But yeah, spring for the QR saddle cover it'll work wonders for ya.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
I have found much comfort in my saddle cover..its a De Soto Large and fits my Azoto saddle great with no slippage at all. I would recommend trying one before you blow $$$ on a new saddle.

After only a 25mi bumpy ride the other day which left my tailbone sore, I was thinking about getting a padded saddle cover for my Specialized BG stock saddle. However, my LBS told me that they tend to move around on the saddle and cause numbness and chafing. The suggestion was to buy a new tri saddle instead, which is not really in my budget. Has anyone had problems with their pads?
