18 miles @ 8:23 minutes per miles=2:28 total. Runner’s knee bothered me again. Around mile 8 the pain started to increase, I did forget the pain day dreaming I finished first in my age group next August 13th. I dragged myself for the last 2 miles.

A full IM DJ? Wow! Good luck.

I did 25km light morning hill commute on bike and intense hill interval 25km home followed by a brick of 13km (1hr.) tempo run. Needless to say, I was bushed after.

Ya DJ, PLEASE let me know how it goes and what you ate, how you felt at each stage, etc. A report of your endeavour I think would really help us all.

112 miles on a trainer? Yuck!!!!

Did a 1.75 mile open water swim last night.
25.5 mile fast bike this morning followed by a transition run.
And a hard group ride of about 2 hours tonight.

Spent the morning at the chiropractor. I can almost turn my head to the right now.

Later wil be back at the chiropractors. What I am not doing is 2000 m in the pool.

I did an indoor half once, not even for charity, not all that much fun either. The gym has a pool so the 2000m. was not too bad, but the rest, HA! The run was on an 1/8 mi. indoor track, very scenic.

Today, 25 mi. hard ride and core.

War of the World tonight, reviews were crappy. We'll see.

Way to hang in there Pancho! That's the spirit.

I did a 21km bike - first 7km straight up the skihill road,
and a 14km run.

It was a beautiful summer's evening, started out in warm sunshine but it cooled nicely as a few clouds drifted in. No wind. Perfect.

Tubs, my first thought of 112miles on a bike trainer is to laugh,
then, it is to cry!
Do you at least have a TV to watch?

best of luck, rather you than me.

40 min bike ride on with painful saddle sores from my hour ride yesterday. Guess it's a "subtle" hint that I need to ride more. ;)

DJ - good for you, but like PoC said, better you than I. Good luck!

yeah i had my ipod and about 5 tvs, went great actually, very sore knees feet and a couple rashes, but im alive.....

bluebird biker asked for a summary so here it is

got up and eat past and sipped lucozade at 430am stopped the lucozade at 6ish, and started at 7, we dont have a pool at my gym so i rowed, which took 16 mins then on to the bike which was like 5hours 12 mins was tough had abotu 5 energy bars on there but my tummy didnt like them and i had a couple litres of lucozade over the bike/run, but on the run i found it hard to hold anything down. so mostly had watered down lucozade, the run took me a painful 4 hours 44minutes cuz i have osgood schlatters disease (spelling?) so over all including transitions my time was 10 hours 22 minutes which i was pretty pleased with, the transition to the run was wierd, cuz i did my 18km in like 1hour 50, and it felt good, and i was considering upping the pace, but then i went to the loo, came back and i lost it, then afterwards i had to lie down for like an hour cuz when i stood up i felt like i had a massive hangover. maybe its cuz im knackered but that seemed like a real bad review (sorry bbb) maybe if i have any sparks of genius ill change it

DJ,

Nice work! Was the run indoors too? I hope it was not on a treadmill. If so, that's bonus mountain man points for you dude!

I have done a 13 miler on the treadmill in the winter, two words: suicide watch!

yeah the run was on the treadmill, lucozade is the english version of powerade i think, and its like a pound for half a litre, i didnt puke but when i came back it was just so much harder. ill find out today how much i raised, but hopefully a good few hundred pounds. :)
