Weekly Training for Sprint????
Hi Mat,
I'm training for my first Sprint which will be in October. I went to beginnertriathlete.com and printed out a good workout.
My week looks like this.... I appreciate any comments from people who know better than I do, as I am just a newbie
M, W, F - bike, swim for 45 - 60 minutes - will be longer as the weeks progress
T, TH,Sun - strength training and run , run times vary... I'm building a base right now. Longer runs on Sun. Strength training is a sport specific workout, using light weights and very high reps. I had a trainers help w/ this at my gym. Very different from my body building style of lifting that I've been doing for over a year! Really gets the heart rate and sweat going!!
Sun - another swim day added in.

I AM glad to have come across this b/c I am training for a sprint on Aug. 7th. I have a base of right now runnin' everyday only b/c I have to get some gear to ride with and swimmin' right now will be starting soon. (gettin' a pass to our rec center) ANYWAYS, with this idea it helps me out on with what others do and sets a base up for me. Thanks! :)

What do your weekly workout schedules look like??
Do you train everyday or just 5 days a week?
I am kinda scattered with my training. I have been lifting everyday then biking for 13 miles and running for a mile and 1/2 everyday. Except wednesdays and sundays I swim.
