My First Tri!
Hello,I have my first Sprint distance tri in two days. Anyone have any last minute advice or inspiration. I know I am prepared, but I could use some last minute motivational speech (Sorry ex football player) I am used to the big pep talk before the game. Well Wish me luck!
;)
Good luck brother. My plan is just pace myself. Where are you doing the TRI?
The Tri is at High Cliff State Park in Sherwood Wisconsin. 1/4 Mile Swim, 22 Mile Bike, 5 K Run. Great swim course, Bike course has a monster hill right away. Run course has the same monster hill at the beginning. The way I fugure if I make it up the hill twice the real work is done.
Good Luck man!

I finished my first Triathlon today. It felt great! I finished in 1:48 (1/4 Mile Swim, 22 Mile Bike, 5 K Run). I ran my first mile up a large hill and it took 12:30 minutes. I ended up running the next 2.1 mile in 16 Minutes. My bike was great at 1:04. Swim left something to be desired, 12:00. I also got all cut up on a rock ledge. Bled the whole race, kinda cool. The only problem I had was during T2. I was so tired coming off the bike I got disoriented. Ended up going right past my rack and all the way across the transition area before I realized where I was. Took 2:20 seconds to do t2. My average time is around 1 minute. I had a lot of inner termoil during the race. My body wanted to stop but my mind was strong because of the training I went through. I ended up having an adrenalin rush in the last 200 yards and sprinted across the finish line. I had no doubt that I had given it all. What a great experience! I tri-ed and I did!!!!
Thanks for all of the help any of you have given me. I was very prepared mentally for this race becasue of this site. Great job ladies and gentlemen.
Thanks,
Rob :)
