Best places to practice in the USA?
Southern California is great place for triathlon training. There are races pretty much all year long here. A little inland you have plenty of mountains for some good hill training and along the coast you have plenty of flat riding land with great scenery.
florida...central florida...clermont is great for training..and ucf is 40 min away
If you get a flat, and don't have a tube, Suck it up and run it in!!!
Hmmm, hard to beat the bay area. Traffic is a problem, but you're only a few hours away from snow (Tahoe), you have the ocean, then there's all the great training rides in and around the bay. Cost of living sucks, but the area kind of makes up for it. If I had a choice to live anywhere, and my job would allow, I would consider moving to Bend, OR. Great community support for athletes, and prime training ground all over the place ( I grew up there)
northern IL or WI.... tons on tri's in the area and good roads.....
i dono just go to trifind.com and get into a university in the state that has the most tri's??
clermont Fl ( central FL) , never been there but i bet southern cali is just as nice as stated above. i enjoy the hot humid weather training in the southeast united states.

Bay area or a little bit north like Sonoma County. Can't beat that you got great climbs if you want to do hills and then you have long straight flats when you wont to go out for a hard fast ride. Plus the weather and the cenory are absolutly gorgeous you can't beat it!

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't you are right!
so.cal has got it all. weather is great all year around. the terrain here is great, hills (long, and steep) great streches of long flat no stop light stretches. we can swim in the ocean most of the year, and the best part, you can always find someone to train with. if you come out to the los angeles area, check out the LA TRI CLUB, great resource for southern california triathletes. LATRICLUB.COM
So Cal. Central Florida is alright, but lacks infrastructure and the variety of So Cal. More choices of schools over there, too.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
You know what? It doesn't matter actually. When it comes right down to it, wherever you are, you have an opportunity to make your life different. Location can help, but if you really want it, you'll find a way whether you're a research scientist in Antarctica, a homemaker in Detroit, or a web-head in Oregon. Everyone here probably wishes for better weather at times, but those dark and cloudy, or snowy icy days can provide a different way to train, and can positively augment your normal training.
I'd go for a school that offers the best MBA you can get into, then look at where you are and go from there.
Bend OR is great for training. Though winters can be tough for cycling, but good for cross training. Not much for MBA schools though unless you do some satellite studies. Probably Southern CA would be best as far as all year training weather, access to several universities, plenty of training partners and races. But higher cost of living. Also check of Colorado or Montana, some good schools out there with alot of outdoor and cycling/running communities. Good luck.
I like the Colorado and Montana recommendation. I keep hearing about the advantages of altitude training. Might be beneficial for racing plans over the next couple of years. Stay away from Virgina, I lived there for three years, the humidity is downright aweful!

Hi there,
I'm a new member here and let's just introduce myself. I'm 23, practice triathlon and adventure races since 2002 and live in São Paulo, Brazil.
I'm planning to do an MBA in the USA for the next year and I didn't choose the university yet. I would like to make this decision thinking about my training too.
Which cities/states in the USA are good for the triathlon practice? Could you please guys give me some recommendations and tipps?
Thank you,
Felipe
