I love, love , love mine!!! I got it a year ago when I started doing tri's and it has been my friend thru all that I put it thru. It handles well and I had a small learning curve to get up to speed (hadn't ridden in about 10 yrs before last year) and it was very forgiving of my shifting mistakes and does all that I ask of it. I will be adding some upgrades this year to her but over all I love it.

PS "she" is also very cool looking, which helps when you are self-concious about being a "newbie"

i agree, got mine just 2 months ago (Allez Elite Triple in the Dream color...wow!!!), and absolutely love it. Throw on some aero bars if you like for longer distances, and you're set. If you train with a group you will certainly get comments about some of the components that come on the bike...people are impressed that things such as the Gossamer compact crank, and the Specialized saddle come standard. I couldn't tell you what the difference is, but i can say that i love my bike. makes training so much more enjoyable.

i have a 2005 Allez comp double. ITs the baddest mofo on the street in that price range. If the area you live in is hilly fairly get the triple its about a grand less than the double. But if you want all out mack daddy 20 speed duraace everything components, the double is the only way to go. You will not be dissapointed.

i have an 03 allez comp triple (was triple - now fsa compact and I have swapped out a few other things as well) and it has definitely served me well...

I just put a deposit down on the bike. (size 58)
They are going to build it for Wednesday and fit me for Friday. I was looking at Specialized & @ Trek & @ LeMond. I like those Specialized and + they are cool looking.

Nice! I have an 04 Allez Elite Triple, and it's a great bike! Pretty light frame and very decent components for the price. Good luck with yours.

it is fast fast fast !!
plus specialized has an awesome warranty - lifetime on frames!
and it is in the lower price range for higher end bikes
It comes highly recommended from me !
