Thanks tribro,
The race was really we orginized you would have never of know it was the first time for the race. Bike and run course were fully closed to traffic which was awsome! Swim course was very well marked. The also had a cat for first time racers which i thought was cool for all the newbies Recomended to everyone!

Rick,

Nice race! I had the entry form, but too close to Palcid for me. How was the swim in the river? Was most of the course through Fairmount? Nice flat road out and back there for the bike.

The river swim was not bad at all, cleaner then most lakes that I have swam in. Now the bike course was not as flat as you may think the were some pretty serious up hills with some nice fast down hills lemon hill was also tied into the couse. But the run was nice and flat though the park and along the river.

SWEET racing, Rick! Congrats! Just awesome...

This one was my son's second triathlon. He took 26th overall and was 3rd in your AG. Like you, he was very impressed with the race...Hard to believe that it was an inaugural effort!

In July we are heading up to the Musselman...It will be his first Half IM and my first sprint tri.

Again, congrats! What's up next on your radar?

I had plans to do Philly ,then NYC, then Boston this year.

I waited to long to register for Philly, they filled up fast.

I won't make the same mistake next time around. I at least got in for NYC.
But Boston is a bust because I am doing the Rock n' Roll 1/2 marathon and it is the same day.

Maybe I'll see ya next year. Great job!!!

Rick,

Something to keep in mind for Wilkes. A buddy just did the du up there, the bike course was poorly marked and a cop pointed them the wrong way. The top 6 or 8 guys (including my buddy) went four miles off course before turning around (check their bike times for 12mi.). Needless to say, he was ticked. Don't know if the events are run by the same group, but figured it you might want the warning.

That sucks sorry to hear about that for your buddy, and thanks for the information.
