women's Saddle

I know this question has been asked more than once but they are pretty old so here it is again.

My wife is having trouble with any ride over 30 mins, because of her saddle. Anyone have any suggestions.

When we bought the bike (specialized Dolce) we spent about an hour getting the fit right so i don't think that it is the problem.

Thanks for you help.

If she's still riding the factory saddle you need to go out and get her a women's specific saddle.

My girlfriend bought a new lightspeed Bella(?) and would be in pain after rides. Until I went out and bought her a Terry Butterfly. Now she actually enjoys the rides. My advice and what I hear from other women is if it doesn't have a cut-out then its not made for women.

the dolce is the Specialized Women's bike. it has a cut out. I will look in to the butterfly

I've heard the same thing. My girlfiend is having a hard time with her saddle as well, so I conveyed this to one of my co-workers who cycles a lot to see if she had any advice. She said, "look for the butterfly." She said that a cut-out isn't enough. Apparently there is something special about these seats. I am picking up one tonight and we have a long ride planned for Saturday. I will post another reply and let you know how it goes.

Also, my coworker told me that she uses "butt butter" to help with chafing.
