Ths is a stupid question but I haven't worn a one piece since I was like 8 or 10. Well how is it suppose to fit. I just got one the other night and well I do not understand the sizing (30's). So I tried on all kinds of sizes. I ended up getting a 32 and well it feels like it is pulling on the shoulder straps. Like maybe the body is too short. Then when I was at some other store they had the size on the numbers and I guess a 34 is a size 8 and that doesn't seem to be right because normally I wear a 1/2 or 3/4. Sorry I know this sounds stupid but I am just wanting to get the correct fit. Thanks ahead of time.
Depends on what fit you want. Most competitive swimmers like the suits really tight (I'm 5'6'' witha long torso and I wear 28s or even stretched out 26s -- 30s at the absolute biggest). The suits stretch out a bit after a while. The 32 is probably fine...
with comepetition suits you've just got to try them on. I personally don't find any correlation between a 36 and a 9/10 like they claim. Too many factors. Ignore the numbers. If it fits like you want it to fit, then it's the correct size for you.
personally i have never found a one piece to fit, i stick with a tankini that way i have nothing crawling up....in races i just wear a tri suit......
I also can't figure out one-pieces... I have a swim-style 2 piece for training and race day is a sports bra and tri shorts during the swim.
Thank you all! I did finally find one that fits great. I went for the try on all kinds and I found one last night that I like. I guess this means that I can start to swim.
