I am just starting out in the triathlon arena and have run into a problem. I'm quite busty (DD) and older (39) so not as perky as I once was.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a top, suit or wetsuit brand/line that might work well for me?

Definitely go with an enell bra, it works perfectly wet or dry, just wear it under a wetsuit or bathing suit/tri suit or whatever you want. It is a total lifesaver. It is pretty ugly, but it provides a lot of coverage, so it could even be worn with just tri shorts. There is nothing better for a large chest, you will be amazed at how much better you feel. After I discovered it I started jogging for the first time comfortably. I can't remember where I heard about it first, but its great.

Thanks! I've seen pictures of them and you are right, they are ugly, but if they work that's ok!

Yeah, I use a good sports bra that dries fast and doesn't chaff (ie not cotton) and it seems to work well. Another thing I love is Bodyglide... I used to get horrible chaffing along my sports bra line, and didn't even get any during my Ironman with that stuff! A must have :-)

my girlfriend had the exact same problem, I posted the same question not too long ago under "question for the ladies"
there were a lot of helpful suggestions posted under that thread, check it out
she took some of the advice given
and used a Champion bra, soon as she got it she was really excited and said it was the best sport's bra she ever wore
she just did her first tri last weekend
and she was pretty pleased, she mentioned that for her next tri she may toss on a second one
she wore the champion bra and a tri specific shirt

also she caught an episode of oprah which was about how 80% of women wear the wrong size bra, I didnt pay attention to all the details except that women should consider getting professionally fitted for a proper size

I'm DD, too, and find that the sugoi long tri top does really well. I can wear this for swim through run, it dries quickly, and supports me like I need it to. Sorry I don't know the model name, but it has a very strong mesh inner bra, plus mesh on the back, some on the sides, and a back pocket. I love it.

Champion Double Dry - these come in DD sizes. Love it! Don't settle...there's plenty of large busted sports bras on the market and there's no reason for any bouncing for us larger ladies.

I have a couple of the same Sugoi long tops too and love them. I am not a DD but it does the trick. You could always wear a second jog bra under for extra support if you felt you needed it. back when I was bigger (sadly weight loss is everywhere) I would wear 2 bras and that worked out great. Kyillee is right about the body glide though, in the heat its a life saver.
