I was so disappointed today because the outdoor pool closed today at 7:30, which was right when I got there, so I had to swim in the indoor pool instead.

I don't know why it is, but I really enjoy swimming a lot more when I'm swimming in the outdoor pool - I am much more motivated to stay in the pool and swim a lot longer. I think its a combination of the fresh air and sunlight.

Anyone else feel the same?

Yes, I definitely agree. I currently swim indoors, but I am switching shortly to an outdoor facility. Why would I swim indoors under the lights when I can swim outdoors and get some sun at the same time.

This is were I like to swim outdoors - My preference is a river that winds with heavy currents. When swimming up stream I swim in the slowest moving water. I like to swim up to a waterfall eg. La Bostannais River in Quebec, then out to the fast moving water and back to the starting point. The scenery is amazing and your cares and worries just disappear.

I would love to be able to swim in a river around here.. unfortunately I think if I did that I would end up growing two heads or something...

You already have an outdoor pool open in Michigan? I'm in Oregon, and I think it's at least a couple more weeks 'til I'll be able to swim outdoors.
