I have officially been smitten with the P2 SL. Currently riding a Felt F60, that I love. Just wanted to know if anyone on here had any experience with this bike or any in the similar price range ($2100-$2500).

I have not ridden the bike yet and know fit is crucial.

Any suggestions would be great.

TIA

i think that is the frame i am going to get ... seeing as i want a felt B2 frame but FELT is very hard to deal with. they only sell the complete B2 with Zipps and I only want the frame.

Funny, the B2 is really what I want, but don't have quite that much money. The Zipps definitely do not help the cost. Of course it is full DA as the P2 is Ult.

The P2 SL has a very similar look as the B2.

Of course I would not mind a P3 either ;)

*****UPDATE*****
I received my P2SL from all3sports Friday, and it is simply amazing. I rode it on my typical 40 mile route and cut 7 minutes off my previous best time, at the HALF-WAY point.

Climbing on the bike was a lot better than I was expecting. I thought it would be twitchy, it was very stable. Overall it feels a so much faster than my F60. The F60 has now been retired to training duty and the SL is strictly a race bike, with occassional training rides.

Never bought a bike that I have not ridden, but am glad I did with this one.

Can't wait to use in competition, problem is I have to wait till my Oly distance race July 31st.

The B2 by Felt is sold frame and fork as well. Not only the full bike. At least in germany we can buy the frame only.
It costs 1199 € and is available at a few shops on the internet. You might want to check, I found them on froogle.de searching for felt b2. Maybe one of them is shipping to the US.

ForceFed,

Nice bike, I love the anodized frame! Forget the weight savings, the black is nasty, looks like Knight Rider.

How is the Visiontech setup, especially for climbing?

I'm in the same debate right now. Felt B2 frame or P2 SL frame. The guys at my shop who i trust with my life are Felt dudes, but the internal cable stays and the rear wheel cutout of the P2 have me leaning towards the Cervelo. Then again I really like the matt black of the B2 and that Easton fork!!! The choices

Shaun,

I think the P2 has the same carbon fork as my P3, that suckers slippery!

Tri-this,

I was kind of wondering how I would like the Visiontech set-up on climbs, seeing as I live in Kentucky there are a few hills around. It actually is very comfortable. My first ride was a 40 miler and I had no aches or pains. There are numerous of climbs that take over 2-4 minutes on that route.

I rode my F60 this morning and it felt so much slower. I still can't figure out what the big difference is. It may be all mental?

Shaun,

The SL is matte black, here is a link: http://www.nytro.com/Cervelo_P2-SL_2005.html

A lot of the improvement on a new bike is mental I guess. The old steel-frame I own has got 14-26, my Dual 12-23 but I can do anything on 20 where I live. On the old bike I sometimes rode 26, and it is definitely not my legs.

But I do not bother from where the improvement comes as long as it is legal ;)
