I didn't feel like carying my backpack to and from work (because of the sore nexk from the long weekend ride) so all I had on my bike ride was what I had on; no tools/tubes, etc. So, I'm leaving work ready to hit it hard onthe way home and... yup, you guessed it...pff, pff, pff a flat. I dont wear sock so i take off my shoes and start walking the 2 miles back to work on the hot pavement  . Oh boy did I learn my lesson. Dont ever go with out tools and the fixins, EVER. Now I have blisters on the ball of my feet and my heels, ouch. At least i get to wear some confi running shoes while i sit here at work today.

Ouch.

Remember that guy in Kona last October?
He got hit by a motorcycle and it destroyed his rear wheel so he walked the last 6 miles in his sox, back to T-2 to start the marathon!

He got it done but oh, the agony of da feet!

I can sympathize...that's happened to me before on my ride in to work. Flat, no tube, and still 3 1/5 miles from work. Of course, I could have walked a half mile down to the bus stop and taken the bus the rest of the way. But that seemed lazy. And mine was on a cool winter's day. :)
