I did it! (Thanks)
nice job! So when is the next one? :-)
congrats scott, way to go! 7th is awesome ;)
Great job! While the sense of accomplishment after any tri is great, you'll remember your first one forever. Glad you had a good time! Now, find your limits and push past em!
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
Great Job Scott!!!!!! Remember, some people compete against others. Some people compete against themselves. The satisfaction is tremendous either way, as you found out. Continued success! Bob
Congrats, Scott! I did my first tri this past weekend, too, so I can share in your joy:) Glad yours went well and keep it up!

It ain't much, if it ain't Dutch!!

I just finished my first sprint tri yesterday!!
It has taken me 15 years from the time I watched my first Iron Man championship on TV and decided this was something I wanted to do. I placed seventh out of seven in my age group,(I've told everybody at work that I finished seventh), but I had my personal best time ever in the swim.
It was an amazing feeling to have my wife, children, and my parents all there to cheer me on at the finish line, and also just the feeling that I had finally done it. It was also amazing to sit at the finish line and cheer on the other competitors. Some of their stories are truly inspirational.
I would like to thank everybody who has added their 2 cents worth over the last year to this web site and especially thank tribro for running the best tri site in the world. I've learned more from this website than I thought would be possible.
Before yesterday I considered myself a triathloner, now I can say I am a tri-athelite.
Thanks.
Scott :D
