This is the second time I've come down with a cold after a 1/2 IM distance race. Does this happen to anyone else? How can I keep this from happening :confused:
I'm no pro, but it makes sense that you are killing your immune system somewhat by pushing your body as far as it can go. If you're using a recovery drink and it has vitamins, then maybe you need something more.... go herbal and see if some echinacea would help, stock up on vitamin C and get some rest. Be sure to replenish your body with the things it needs to fight off everyday crud. Congrats on your Half IM! :)
