hey guys i have been looking at some road bikes lately and found these three:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7154795032&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7155070280&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
i am not quite sure on the sizing for any of them but i am 5'10 or 5'11 some where in that range and weigh 170. Do you think the sizes i have them at will work or no? is the pricing good?

Best thing to do for when you buy stuff like that at ebay is go to a local shop and try out the sizes of frame that fit you. The first 2 in the pics are 56cm and the last is a 58cm, which fit you better, get it checked out. Get checked for YOUR frame size and I think that the web might have some frame dimensions for a few of those, you can see what is best by comparing store bikes to the ones on eBay. The pricing, well, that will depend on the winning bid right?! Good luck.

I had the same problem.... I am 5 11, and have long legs and a short torso... some shops can measure you and have software that they can exactly compute what you should get. I suggest calling around to see where you can go for that. From what I'm told, the most important thing is FIT. I was going to buy a bike from ebay, but considering that some people still have old bikes, but insist on keeping them just because they fit so well.... I think you should definately get fitted first, then bid.
Also, just because they say it's a 56 cm or 58 cm... all brands run their sizes differently, the cm is just ONE of a few measurements that are vital. The 56 cm in a Trek may be different in the 56 cm of a Felt. The Felt is priced alright, though. You could also go to shops that have that brand and find out what size you are in that brand. Some shops let you test ride them, but there's no telling how you will feel 50 miles out when you tested the bike down the street! :) Good luck with your choice!

Hi
What about getting a NEW old bike? If you have the chance : but a bike in the off-season...
Bought a new MTB in summer (a left-over which no real hardcore-MTBiker wanted ; they'd rather wait 3 months to spend twice the amount on 'new' models and colours), and a roadbike in winter time ...
Perhaps you can get a good deal on a Must-Go-Overstock -Bike?

Take a look at Slowtwitch's bike picker: http://www.slowtwitch.com/mainheadings/prodreview/tribikes/bikepicker.html
While there are certainly more choices out there than it suggests, it give you a good idea of what to look for in a bike.
