4 weeks to a half ironman

i would say look at what your base is right now...if you still have a good one...do the math...FAST..and if you can't build the distance safely...
better to blow it off then try and make up for lost time and give yourself an injury that will take you out of the best part of the season..
do it till you drop :)

I'm registered to do a half ironman on June 12, 2005. This would be my second race at this distance. I spent the better part of the winter in a fairly decent base training phase. Unfortunately, personal matters have completely haulted my training for the past 2.5 months. I am now ready to get back to training. I am wondering if it is unrealistic to prepare for a half ironman in 4 weeks. I'm not looking to go out and win or anything...just finish without killing myself. Any suggestions?
