Just thought I'd take 5 to say hi to all. Names Shaun if the username didn’t give it away. Been a runner and an off an on swimmer for as long as I can remember so now that I'm back in Cali where the weather is nice I figured id give this triathlon thing a TRI. Now I hooked. Training like a crazy person and have a good dozen races scheduled before the seasons over. Had my first race about a month ago out in Fresno CA. Lake Millerton TRI. Great little sprint distance race. About 60-80 participants, super friendly people, outstanding organization, all and all great experience. I made the mistake of messing around and getting third in my age group so now the natural competitor in me has taken over and I’m a TRI junkie. Did Olympic Wildflower last Sunday and got my butt kicked! Loved every minute of it. 2:52 which i was happy with for my first olympic distance race. Goal was to break 3 hours so I was happy. Now I’m back to the good old training routine with another race coming up on the 14th. Good luck and congratulations too all of us out there for swimming, biking, running, and kicking all the butt we do.
