I had to pay for someone to accompany me when I trained. He was in a canoe beside me when training and was in my boat when I raced. I gave him a percentage of my prize money and sponsor money. He made sure that I followed through with my training goals eg. if I was going to do a one or two hour work out he would keep me to the plan. He was not my coach we called him - TRAINER.

Anyone go any tips for finding a group of Tri-geeks or even one partnet to do some open water swimming practice - Live in Durham, NC so Lake Jordon may be the closest but would probably travel further if it was a good group.
