Endurance drink without all the sugar???
Water the gatorade down 50/50, or to taste
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
Add maybe 1/8 teaspoon Morton Salt Lite (50/50 sodium/potassium) per quart to whatever drink suits your tastes, and you'll have a cheap alternative to the high-priced commercial drinks. I often go with fruit punch or lemonade.
To mix your own, you can take a frozen can of whatever concentrate you like --- orange juice, for example (your grocers' freezer has a huge variety), and make it whatever strength you prefer. Add some sodium/potassium, as above, and you're ready to go. Freeze a 1/2 full water bottle, and it'll stay cold on your ride.

All,
Does anyone know of an endurance drink that is not packed full of sugar like Gatorade and others are? I am now drinking Gatorade Endurance during long rides but it is still a little too sweet in my opinion.
I have also been wondering if there are any geniuses out there that may know how to make a drink mix at home. I have seen recipes for energy bars and smoothies, but not for a drink.
