What are your greatest frustrations as a triathlete? What would the ultimate book or magazine for triathletes contain? What do you wish you knew more about?

People who post the exact same question across multiple tri forums, and who are probably attempting to do market research on the cheap.

Market research! aha! PJT sniffs it out!

You know, I don't so much mind the question, it's the cloaked idenity. Why not just say "I work for some tri mag and want some feedback?"

If my job involved anything to do with cycling, running, or swimming, I'd already have an account on Trifuel...

The stuff I wish I knew more about is out there, and appears to be easy to find. I just need to read it. Things like form and strategy in all 3 sports are secondary. Most important to me is knowing that the hours I spend training couldn't be spent more efficiently, and the calories I consume will help me the most. I already know which activities are fun to train, and I know what foods I enjoy eating. I want to know which training and food is going to help me the most, then I'll decide on how I balance fun and performance.

Possibly. However, my alternative explanation is that this could be coming from a market research firm hired by a tri company to "take the pulse" of triathletes to find out what gaps exist in the market and report back accordingly. The person assigned to do that may or may not have any background in the sport. That person would then create very similar user IDs on Trifuel and a few other sites (BT, ST) and post the exact same question to garner some practically free info... (this is all just rank speculation on my part, but something just doesn't smell right with those questions coming from a new user).

And, if it really is a company using Trifuel as their free focus group, maybe disclosing this up front and sending some compensation Tribro's way would be warranted.

I honestly don't mind providing answers to questions like this sometimes, but the whole stealth thing really grates on me.

I think triathlon books should be printed on edible starch cellulose paper so that you can replenish your glycogen reserves while reading so you don't bonk while reading. also, flavor the ink Mocha or Chocolate.

Also, triathlon magazines need to carry admission tickets to the Kona world championship ironman race instead of subscription forms.
