some clip-on aero bars for my bike.

What is everyone hoping (realistically) to get under the tree this year for Christmas?

an aero helmet! Question for the trifuel nation- which do you prefer (mostly lookswise, I don't think they are different enough aerodynamically to make a difference): LG Rocket, LAS Chrono, or Spiuk Kronos?

A Bike Pump.. I know i'm getting this from my best friend...

My other best friend's getting me something too, but I don't know what!! Maybe a swim training pack... (Paddles, fins, etc)

I'd love a new wetsuit... need to hint to the parents for that one though :) Or maybe i'll get it for myself!!

New race wheels! Broke the rear wheel in my current set beyond repair in September...so this is a necessity.

Also hoping for a dry mild winter here in Denver. None of that blizzard business from last year.

As far as Santa knows, I've been good ;) - so an areo helmet and some more winter gear.

Only 4 years? So many people rushing into things these days... I proposed at year 8 but that was too soon. I figure 11 years should be just enough. ;)

I'm shooting for some winter training gear, clip on aerobars, and maybe pedals and shoes.

I made my GF wait almost 7 years ;) I think she thinks it was worth the wait. For the record, I will NOT be in the market for a new tri bike this season. :p

A new sweet tri bike like the Trek TTX would be nice, but realistically I will treat myself to an entry into Boise 70.3 and maybe my family will get me some new winter training items. It gets cold here in Utah in the witer and I need some new things to help me train outdoors most of the winter.

It's interesting this year -- Christmas (from both gift giving and getting perspectives) is about done for me this year. It was just easier that way with being home for Thanksgiving and not xmas.

Mine big present will be arriving early... PowerTap wheelset! And Mike is getting the same from me :) Last year his/hers tri bikes, this year PT wheels... we make it too easy on each other.

And my mom already gave me my xmas stuff: $$ towards our xmas trip to Canada and some bike socks and clothes.

Oh, and I proposed to my wife after 1.5 years. Waiting longer is overrated, and it's been shown in countless research studies that it can actually hurt your chances of a successful marriage the longer you wait. Tell him to **** or get off the pot.

An aero helmet, HRM, and possibly a new tri frame depending on how much my wife loves me.

By the way I waited 3 years, but we started dating just out of high school. I wanted to wait until we at least graduated college first.

I bought these for myself a couple of years ago. They are worth their weight in gold. I was skeptical at first, but the speed and space savings are awesome. Mine only go up to 52.5 lbs per dumbell and I wish they went up some more.

Common guys, 4+ years?? If you think she will wait on you forever, you are going to be a lonely man down the road. I proposed after 2 years in a long distance relationship (I was in the Navy). I was 20 and she was 18 - sounds young, but here we are 19 years later and we are still going strong.

Amen to that. Some people that get married after 6 months get divorced after a year (I know a few sadly). I guess it's just pointless if you're waiting just for waiting's sake.

Somewhere I got the impression that cartridges were cheaper if you buy the unthreaded ones at Wal Mart instead of the threaded ones at the LBS.

They are, but they only work with certain inflators. The unthreaded 12g ones you can get at walmart (they are sold for paintball guns). The others (usually 16g threaded) I've only really seen at bike shops.

The microinflate is a popular one for racing, but it only takes threaded. Slightly bigger ones like this can take either threaded or nonthreaded.

Personally, I have one of the larger ones that I use for training (with the cheap co2) and a smaller one that I use for racing (with the more expensive CO2). But I had the larger one first, and later wanted a smaller one for racing so it just ended up that way.

Several "Aero Helmet" requests here. Hopefully santa's helmet elves are working overtime cause that's what I want too!

Actually I think that's slated for my January birthday.

Oh, and Zipp 606's, but $/minute-saved I really can't justify them. I told my mom she could use them for IM Louisville this summer if she got them for me for christmas. She asked how much time she could save. I said, "eh, 10 minutes." She asked, "how much do they cost?" I said, "$1500." She said, "No."

Thanks, your friend
