Carrying everything on the bike

I was curious about how everybody carried all their gear on the bike.

1. Water bottles
2. Tube
3. CO2s
4. nutrition
5. bike tool

Do those of you racing olympic distance carry a tube and CO2s?

Right now. I am considering just using a water bottle cage on the frame and my aero drink between the aerobars and a saddle bag.

But I am open to suggestions and improvements, to what people use.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

For Olys...

One bottle on the down tube and an aero drink. Nutrition in the drink. No repair kit.

Have fun!!!

I have an aero drink and a hydrotail for liquids. I have a Profile Design E-pack for nutrition and I have a wedge that fits directly behind the seatpost for CO2, levels, and a tube.

I carry a spare -- if I flat I'd still want to finish the day. I use a behind seat bag, but a tiny one and keep minimal stuff in it (co2 & minipump, tube, 2 levers).

I pretty much do the same - a bottle in the cage and an aero bottle - a small behind the seat bag for repair stuff. If I'm out on a long ride (not racing), I'll usually have my Bento box too - it's easier to access my phone and some gels.

Ditto - I also use a small wedge bag under the seat. Contents: Spare Tube, CO2 pump and cartridge, tire levers, micro bike tool and cell phone. I usually carry 2 water bottles. I either tape Powergels to my top tube or put a few in my jersey pockets.

for Oly
two bottle cages + two bottles (usually only drink one)
wedge with 2 CO2 cartridges, inflator, tube, box of peelnstick patches, tire irons, $10 bill
gels in back jersey pocket
i don't carry a bike tool for races (mine is too bulky)

I find I like an old water bottle for carrying fixit stuff (spare tubes, CO2 cartridges, tire levers, cell phone). This always sits on the left side of the saddle-mounted double bottle cage - effectively balancing the bike. I don't bother with tools. Anything more than a puncture and I'm phoning someone if it's a training ride and waiting for the rescue vehicle if it's a race (hasn't happened to date).

For Oly I just have an Aerodrink with Gatorade. For HIM and IM the downtube has a bottle of Perpetuem mixed with the number of calories I'll need. At aid stations I just pour water in the Aerodrink, maybe slam a second water bottle in the saddle-mounted double bottle cage.

A Bento Box in a size large can hold quite a few items in addition to a seat bag.

I only use one bottle of water and 2 gels taped to the aero bars. Take one at start of bike and one tens mins from end of bike...Run Hard

No spares as if I get a flat I'm out of the race anyway. But if you just want to finish take spares. The bike is usually an hour- hour and a half for some so no need for 2 bottles of fluid. Its just dead weight, you should be plenty hydrated anyway. Not many people can stomach 2 bottles an hour...actually no one I know.
