i was wondering if anyone actually follows a triathlon training plan from a book or website or if you created your own training plan?? I was also wondering what everyones typical workout looks like and how many days of rest people would take off per week. And if anyone does train 2 times a day? Also does anyone incorporate flexibility and strength training in their workout?

Basically i swim at noon for about 50 minutes (2,500 yards)
then i run in the evening or cycle if its nice outside or ride the stationary bike for 30 minutes. I take one day off a week but i still feel tired alot. I kinda created my own plan though i doubt its very efficient. It does keep me in shape though.

If you want advice on how to train better (scheduling more efficiently, getting adequate rest, making your key workouts better, etc) I strongly suggest reading The Triathlete's Bible by Joe Friel. I'm sure most people on here have read it and many follow the type of training schedule which he suggests. If you've never read a book on how to organize your training, it is a great place to start!
