As one who likes to consume way too much pie and cookies over the holidays, I'm always looking for a way to avoid packing on more pounds over the next six weeks...yet still enjoy the great food that comes around this time of year.

I'm fortunate to have several fitness chefs working as guest authors to give us some great tips and recipes for the Healthy Holiday Eating Series.

It kicked off yesterday and we'll have 1-2 guest chefs every week until the end of the year.

If there's something you'd like to see, just let me know and I'll ask one of the culinary gurus to answer your questions.

I'm still waiting for someone to provide a high protein, low carb version of a good dark beer!

I've always been told and willing to believe that Guinness was exactly that.

Meal in a glass.

Oh my goodness my Guinness.

I won't tell you that I was good over the holiday...but I ran 22 miles over two days this weekend...does that count for anything? :D

Ahhh, Guinness... a deep dark ray of sunshine :)

Healthy holiday eating is a bit of a contradiction for me. I just work out more and harder to offset it. (I put on 5lbs on turkeyday alone, back to normal today) ;)

It's been a deal I've made with myself for many years now, do a long run on Thanksgiving morning to offset the mega calorie day.
